“ This is one of my most favorite places to grab a meal. So much so that it was our stop for lunch on the way up to Stillwater Cove campground. The chicken bowl is so freaking good and I'm gluten free so they always have delicious sweet treats. I got a thumbprint cookie that was incredible. ”
“ Visiting the general store is always a treat filled with passion and creativity! The atmosphere exudes warmth and charm, making it the perfect spot for both friend gatherings and solo dates. The food, sourced locally, is not only fresh but beautifully presented, making each visit a culinary delight. It's no wonder I keep coming back, Dining here always leaves me with a great feeling. This overdue review is just a small token of appreciation for such a fantastic restaurant and community space. ”
“ The food is a fusion cuisine between American and Asian. You order at the counter and pick out your table, and your order is brought to you. It has a great calming atmosphere with open spaces, so you're not crowded against another group. It's a place where you can go with someone not have to rush through a meal. I went in the late afternoon, and they had plenty of seating. ”
“ Andjia ( the owner ) was a gracious Host!... The Chicken bowl was superb with chimichuri dressing!...I also had the focaccia was incredibly delicious !!... Superb service!! Highly recommended! Must visit this GEM in Occidental!! ”
“ We came here for the band "Rainbow Girls" and it was a great time and was enjoyed by all, but the angle of the grass was steeple and the lawn was bumpy, (but i'm old). We got there early and had dinner. They had excellent vegan options and other plant forward food. Our table ordered the chicken katsu sandwich, the fried cauliflower tacos (order without kimchi sauce for a vegan option), and my dish, the boho bowl. It all was fresh bright. The chips that went with the sandwich were flavored with vinegar and a bit too zingy for our palate. The boho bowl was full of flavor and variety, yummy lentils, brown rice, greens, beets, grilled broccoli, pickled onions, and a wonderful chimmichuri sauce. The store had a very well thought out variety of items for sale, including books and boutique pantry items that are some of the newest items on the market. There is a grab and go area near the front with food. You can eat inside or outside. There is even a clay studio inside. I didn't find out about it, but it looked fun. The surroundings were fabulous. The sun went down right in front of us, behind the trees I would love to come back for an experience that includes more than music, even though my butt hurts, lol!!! ”
“ Altamont is one of the hidden gems of Sonoma county. Favorite place to cozy up and enjoy great food and coffee. ”
“ The Altamont is a dream come true. Women-owned and meticulously ordained. The food, y’all, the food is ambrosia, inspired by the glory of Hawaii and the bounty of the garden, every bite is nirvana. They have a delectable deli and gluten free deliciousness available. I’m wild about their burgers and bowls, and their drink selection is spot-on for tipplers and tea-totalers alike. There is plenty of space for dining. Bring your new favorite novel, your toddler, your bosom pal... In the summer, the beer garden is a happening knoll with live music and community fun. The Altamont is an absolute gift to West County. ”
“ My favorite place for a matcha. My favorite place for food. My favorite place to write and work. My favorite place for something brewed! Incredibly creative owners and such a good vibe!! Don’t miss out on this spot. I appreciate most how many options for gluten free exist, as well as the beautiful inspiration from the Hawaii islands! ”
